Introduction:
I am a 22 year-old aspiring and enterprising Business Management graduate (BSc 2:1 Hons) from the University of Essex, who is keen to apply academic business theory in a business setting.
I play an active role in the local community as President and coach of Colchester Villa YFC, a club I represented as a player for 8 years and is now one of the biggest youth clubs in the area.
I have held various roles to accompany and subsidise me during my education since I started college in 2004. The roles have varied in location from remote to on site work and also in the nature of the work; ranging from database management to the production of promotional and training materials.
Professional Background:
I successfully combined my university education with opportunities that allowed me to gain work experience in a variety of settings. To date I have worked in the business, sports and retail sectors.
My time at university not only allowed me to build up my skills portfolio but also hone the ability to manage a challenging and varied workload, whilst striking a balance between my personal and professional life.

My academic studies complemented by workplace experience have enabled me to apply business theory and applications in a real time setting.

Sports Background:
Currently President of Colchester Villa YFC, a position I have held for three years. I have also managed Colchester representative football teams and coached players to national, county and academy standard whilst gaining qualifications in this field. I have experience of working in club and school settings and that of a holiday camp.
Additionally I coach and manage Colchester Villa Under 14s and the Colchester Villa Men's team.
Away from football I am also a freelance tennis tutor, having played at a competitive level in my youth.
Ultimately my desire is to combine my business degree with a role in the sporting world, namely football coaching, which I have 6 years experience in.
